The best thing about Iskcon for me is that you don’t have to be part of the rest of the world, but you don’t have to be alone either. I never liked the competition in the world as I grew up, nor did I like that one man’s misfortune was another man’s happiness. When a person becomes successful then so many people become envious, and if they lose their success then so many people are happy. If you become successful and no one is envious it’s disappointing. Because material happiness is relative, it is based on others not doing so well as us.
